PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective apparatus for repelling materials that induces a sense of caution in walking animals to prevent them from approaching, as measures to prevent damage by walking animals.SOLUTION: A protective apparatus 1 for repelling materials used in measures against damage by walking animals as a protective container storing the repelling materials and having vents is disposed in a position higher than the surface of the ground includes poles 2 erected on the surface of the ground, and a plurality of protective containers installed on the poles 2. A protective container 3 for a lower stage, capable of storing the repelling material in a position therebelow, is installed on the pole 2. A protective container 4 for an upper stage, capable of storing the repelling material also in a position higher than the protective container installed in the lower position, is installed. The protective container 3 for the lower stage is installed in a position higher than the surface of the ground. The protective container 4 for the upper stage is installed in a position higher than the surface of accumulated snow.
