PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel compound having pest control activity on a pest.SOLUTION: There is provided an amide compound expressed by formula (I) [wherein Y represents a 3 to 7-membered saturated heterocyclic ring containing, as ring-forming components, one or more atoms or groups selected from the group consisting of an oxygen atom and -S(O)t-, wherein the saturated heterocyclic ring may include 1 to 3 atoms or groups selected from group D, and t represents O or the like X represents a 1-10C chain type hydrocarbon group or the like which may include one or more atoms or groups selected from group A W represents -CR8- or the like r is 1 or the like: R1, R2, R3, R4, R5, R6, R7 and R8 are the same or different and represent a hydrogen atom or the like and n represents 1 or the like].
