PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a powdered hair dye giving the hair vivid color tones from orange, red to purple and having high fastness. SOLUTION: This powdered hair dye having red color, is prepared by blending together 0.2 g of p-phenylenediamine sulfate (dye component A) and/or 0.1 g of 2-chloro-p-phenylenediamine sulfate (dye component A), 1.5 g of p- aminophenol sulfate (dye component B), 1 g of 2,4-diaminophenoxyethanol sulfate (dye component C), 50 g of sodium percarbonate, 15 g of ammonium sulfate, 3 g of sodium lauryl sulfate, 27 g of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 1 g of disodium edetate, 1 g of a perfume, and 3 g of sodium sulfate.
