PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and apparatus for reporting appropriate pressurization state of fingertip, for reporting an appropriate pressurization state when pressurizing a fingertip to a pressurizing surface to a subject so as to stably and highly accurately sample detection data even under an environment wherein external light changes in the detection of pulse waves or the like for instance utilizing a coated camera.SOLUTION: A table wherein a pulse wave threshold for sectioning pulse wave amplitudes that change as small (instable) &rarr large (stable) &rarr small (instable) according to weak (inappropriate) &rarr middle (appropriate) &rarr strong (inappropriate) of a finger pressure therapy level into five stages of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 in accordance with respective luminance averages of a plurality of prescribed frames of the photographed image of the fingertip during finger pressure therapy is prepared.
