The present invention provides a medical herb composition for promoting hair growth, which comprises: a first herb material, which comprises of 2-40 part by weight ofGinseng Radixand 0.6-28 part by weight ofAngelicae Radix a second herb material which comprises of 0.6-28 part by weight ofAngelicae Radix, 2-40 part by weight ofAstragali Radixand 20-96 part by weight of a mixture containing ofDendrobium hancockii,Eclipta prostrateandRehmanniae Radix and a pharmaceutical acceptable carrier comprising an excipient.
