The present invention relates to methods of treatment using [3-(4-{2-butyl-1-[4-(4-chloro-phenoxy)-phenyl]-1H-imidazol-4-yl }-phenoxy)-propyl]-diethyl amine ("COMPOUND I") or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. In various embodiments, the methods of treatment include treatment of mild-to-moderate dementia of Alzheimers type, diabetes, insomnia, and other indications.
