Disclosed is a method for storing a washing machine identification code in a tag memory. A washing machine identification code is a code for identifying fabric information. A tag memory at least comprises an EPC memory for storing an electronic product code for identifying a tag object, and a USER memory for storing user-defined data. The storage method comprises: detecting the remaining memory space of the EPC memory of the tag memory; and when there is enough memory space to store the washing machine identification code, storing the washing machine identification code in the EPC memory, otherwise, storing the washing machine identification code in the USER memory. During the storage process, different write priorities are used at the same time for different pieces of fabric attribute information, thus guaranteeing that an electronic tag memory can completely and effectively store key information about fabric attributes, and thus meeting requirements regarding intelligent washing by a washing machine.
