Provided are a system and a method for safe electric wheelchair traveling using a wireless obstacle detection sensor. In the obstacle detection guiding method according to an embodiment of the present invention, sensors of an electric wheelchair detect an obstacle and generate detection information. Of the sensors, a main sensor collects the detection information. The sensors notify a user of the fact that the obstacles are detected. The main sensor transmits, to a mobile device, integration information in which pieces of the detection information are integrated. As a result, the obstacle detection sensor can be easily attached without a change in electric wheelchair structure and safe electric wheelchair traveling is possible.무선 기반의 장애물 감지 센서를 이용한 전동휠체어 안전주행 시스템 및 방법이 제공된다. 본 발명의 실시예에 따른 장애물 감지 안내 방법은, 전동휠체어 설치된 센서들이, 장애물을 감지하여 감지 정보를 생성하고, 센서들 중 주 센서가 감지 정보들을 수집하며, 센서들이 장애물을 감지 사실을 사용자에게 안내하고, 주 센서가 감지 정보들을 통합한 통합 정보를 모바일 디바이스에 전송한다. 이에 의해, 전동휠체어의 구조 변경 없이 손쉽게 장애물 감지 센서를 부착하여, 전동휠체어를 안전하게 주행할 수 있게 된다.
