PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To photograph a large area of the breast by improving the positional relationship between a breast to be imaged and an imaging system having an X-ray tube and an X-ray detector and by setting a broad and appropriate imaging area.SOLUTION: An X-ray CT apparatus for mammography is provided with a table 2 for supporting a patient P lying face down. An aperture member 3 having an opening 3a for inserting the breast of the patient P is provided at a part of the table 2. An arm 4 that rotates centering a vertical rotation axis C that passes through the center of the opening 3a is arranged below the aperture member 3, and the X-ray tube 5 and the X-ray detector 6 are held at both ends of the arm 4 respectively. The X-ray tube 5 and the X-ray detector 6 rotate around the breast projected downward from the opening 3a. An image of the breast is detected by the X-ray detector 6 using X-ray emitted from the X-ray tube 5, and a three-dimensional image is reconstituted by an image processing section 9.COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT【課題】X線管球とX線検出器から成る撮影系と撮影対象となる乳房との位置関係の改良を図り、撮影領域を広く最適に設定することにより、乳房の広範囲の撮影を可能にする。【解決手段】うつ伏せ状態の患者Pを支持する天板2が設けられ、天板2の一部には患者Pの乳房を通すアパーチャ部材3が設けられている。このアパーチャ部材3には開口部3aが穿けられている。アパーチャ部材3の下方には、その開口部3aの中心を通る鉛直方向の回転軸Cを中心に回転するアーム4が設けられ、アーム4の両端にはX線管球部5、X線検出部6がそれぞれ保持されている。X線管球部5、X線検出部6が開口部3aから下方に突出した乳房の周囲を回転し、X線管球部5から照射されたX線により乳房像をX線検出部6で検出し、画像処理部9で三次元画像が再構成される。【選択図】図1
