PURPOSE: An ultrasonograph which displays movement change and an operation method thereof are provided to intuitively detect the movement change by mapping a color corresponding to the movement change of an object to ultrasonic data.CONSTITUTION: A scan part(103) creates ultrasonic data of an object through a scanning process. A coordinate determination part(105) determines a first coordinate corresponding to the uppermost end of the object and a second coordinate corresponding to the lowermost end of the object from the ultrasonic data. A display controller(107) measures a vector length from the first coordinate to the second coordinate. The display controller maps a color corresponding to the measured vector length to the ultrasonic data.
