The main aim of the project is to develop a alternative solution for labour problem associated in arecanut harvesting. Labour shortage is a major issue nowadays and finding labours during peak harvest season is a major concern for many farmers. The project aims in eliminating this problem ,it consists of belted spools which grips tight onto the sides of the arecanut tree and these spools are driven by engine through inverted chain drive which helps it to climb up the tree, it consists of blade which harvest the crop which is then collected in the collector .It thus eliminating the need of labour, since it can be operated by a single person and is more efficient and economic than conventional methods.
