The present invention relates to an apparatus for sterilizing a contact lens, which uses light of an ultraviolet (UV)-C wavelength band to sterilize bacteria and mycotic virus existing on the contact lens, and a method thereof. According to the present invention, the apparatus for sterilizing a contact lens comprises: a sterilization container for mounting a contact lens thereon； a rotational unit rotating the sterilization container； a light source unit irradiating light of a UV-C wavelength band toward the contact lens in the rotating sterilization container； and a control unit controlling the rotational unit and the light source unit.
