PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal pressure regulator of an endoscope which makes the pressure within the endoscope to return to the atmospheric pressure credibly when removing an adaptor for opening a valve by preventing a fall of an O ring of a check valve from an annular groove even when a suction force due to low internal pressure within an endoscope affects the O ring.

SOLUTION: A bottom face 20 b of the annular groove 20 to which the O ring 16 of the check valve 10 is fitted is formed in a slanting surface parallel to the surface of a valve seat wall 14a. The annular groove 20 has inner and outer side wall surfaces 20i and 20o, and the height Li of the inner side wall surface 20i is formed higher than the height Lo of the outer side wall surface 20o.
