PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathwater supply system that is simply configured, cost-effectively produced, and can be operated with little outlay on maintenance, and also to provide a sanitary bathtub with such a bathwater supply system and a method of operating the bathwater supply system.SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a bathwater supply system (2) for producing air bubbles, the bathwater supply system comprising a fluid pump (4)； an air supply conduit (6) including an inflow valve (7) and extending to a water inflow conduit (13) connected to the intake side of the fluid pump (4)； and a throttle device connected to the discharge side of the fluid pump (4). According to the invention, a pressure relief valve (8), as the throttle device, is directly connected to the outlet of the fluid pump (4) by a connection conduit (9), without interposing a fluid-settling chamber which is provided to separate air bubbles.
