In order to allow various tasks to be carried out more quickly, such as the removal of multilayer soil samples or the implanting of stakes (for example when erecting a fence), and in so doing to make the physically strenuous work easier, a hydraulic multi-purpose device for tractor attachment is provided. This hydraulic multi-purpose device comprises at least one u-shaped main profile rail (1) in a vertical line with three-point attachment (2/3) and with horizontally arranged U-profile tube (4) for connection to the drawbar of the tractor in question. Secured in a u-shaped guide rail (6) is a twin-action hydraulic cylinder (5) at whose closed end brackets (7) are arranged in a fork formation, via which brackets (7) the twin-action hydraulic cylinder (5) is connected to the u-shaped main profile rail (1) with at least one bolt (8). By means of a two-way control device (9) which is connected via hydraulic lines (11) to the lifting hydraulics of the respective tractor and to the twin-action hydraulic cylinder (5), the lifting piston (12) of the twin-action hydraulic cylinder (5) can be brought into a push/press position and a pull position.
