PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for detecting dental caries lesion without cavities which includes a measuring electrode having an electric conductive end.SOLUTION: A tip 310 fits a fissure and structured in a size to provide an electrical contact with the teeth of a patient. The device also has a reference electrode configured for the electrical contact with the patients body. Measuring means for determining the electric conductivity between the measuring electrode and the reference electrode is provided, too.
