The present invention relates to powders composed of coated PVD metal effect pigments, highly concentrated suspensions of coated PVD metal effect pigments, and their use in powder paints and masterbatches. The powders of the invention consisting of coated PVD metal effect pigments are characterized by very good redispersion performance and are particularly suitable for the preparation of highly concentrated suspensions. Furthermore, it is possible to produce a coating having a high free flowing property, substantially free of aggregation, and having an excellent metallic luster.
