PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric wire protector for repelling vermin which can be easily attached to an existing electric wire to prevent plants from coming into contact with the electric wire. SOLUTION: An electric wire protector 1 for repelling harmful animals includes two plate bodies 10 and two or more rod-shaped bodies 20 extending in parallel between the two plate bodies 10, and the plate body 10 is provided. A circular hole 11 provided in the central portion and a groove 12 communicating from the peripheral edge to the hole 11 are provided, the hole 11 has a diameter of 5 mm to 15 mm, and the width of the groove 12 is smaller than the diameter of the hole 11. The rod-shaped body 20 has elasticity and has a diameter of 3 mm to 10 mm, is arranged outside the holes 11 with respect to the plate body 10, and the elasticity is such that the central portion of the rod-shaped body 20 in the length direction is two holes 11. When pushed from a direction orthogonal to the straight line connecting the centers, if the pushing force is 100N, it moves beyond the straight line connecting the centers of the holes 11, and if the pushing force is 10N, it moves to a straight line connecting the centers of the holes 11.
