PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article which can effectively prevent SAP from dropping out from a diaper, is excellently absorptive, scarcely leaks urine, does not give a feeling of wetness persistently remaining on a top sheet, and can give a feeling of smoothness during wear.
SOLUTION: In the absorbent article 1A, an absorber 22 has a two-layer structure in which a narrow absorber 50 arranged in the width direction center of the absorbent article and a wide absorber 52 in which at least either of the front end portion or the rear end portion is formed wider than the narrow absorber 50 are laid over the other, the wide absorber 52 is laid over the narrow absorber 50 so as to form ear portions extending out from both side edges of the narrow absorber 50, and the ear portions are joined and fixed to a sheet material (absorber covering sheet 54) to which the narrow absorber 50 is fixed in the areas outside both the side edges of the narrow absorber 50.
