PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new testosterone 5&alpha-reductase activity inhibitor, to provide a new androgen receptor antagonist, to provide a hair tonic, to provide a skin care preparation for preventing/improving acne, to provide a skin care preparation for inhibiting sebum secretion, and to provide a method for inhibiting androgen activity expression.
SOLUTION: Provided are the testosterone 5&alpha-reductase activity inhibitor containing a Chloranthus japonicus extract as an active ingredient, the androgen receptor antagonist containing the Chloranthus japonicus extract as an active ingredient, the hair tonic containing their agents, the skin care preparation for preventing/improving acne, and the skin care preparation for inhibiting sebum secretion containing the agents. A method for inhibiting androgen activity expression comprising supplying the Chloranthus japonicus extract is also provided.
