The present invention addresses the problem of providing a production method for an easy to take solid preparation and an easy to take solid preparation or the like which are mainly characterized in that a dry process is used to simply form an outer layer for facilitating taking of the solid preparation without the outer layer undergoing a wet state and thickness is imparted to the formed outer layer. The present invention relates to a dry process production method for an easy to take solid preparation which includes separately or simultaneously loading inner core tablets and subsequently compression moulding said inner core tablets with a powder which is provided to a mortar inner surface an upper pestle lower end surface and a lower pestle upper end surface and which comprises an outer layer forming agent including a gelling agent exhibiting slipperiness when brought into contact with water said method wherein the inner core tablets are coated with the compression moulded outer layer forming agent. The present invention also relates to a solid preparation coating powder composition which is used in the aforementioned production method and which includes a water soluble polymer and a water soluble sugar or sugar alcohol.
