PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a degree of shunt stenosis of a dialysis patient precisely.
SOLUTION: In a shunt stenosis detecting device 10, an arithmetic part 15 measures a shunt sound from a shunt formation region of the patient on hemodialysis (Step S1). A blood flow sound which is measured by varying a degree of stenosis is acquired from a pseudo stenosis formation region in a blood vessel in the patient on hemodialysis (Step S2). An approximate sound which approximates the shunt sound in the blood flow sound is detected (Step S4) by comparing the measured shunt sound to the acquired blood flow sound (Step S3). The degree of stenosis of the pseudo stenosis formation region corresponding to the detected approximate sound is determined as the degree of shunt stenosis (Step S5).
