A medical system, includes an imaging apparatus, whichincludes an array of detectors, which define an imagingvolume and form images of a region within a body of a patientthat is positioned in the imaging volume. A movablebedtransports the body of the patient through the imagingvolume. An invasive probe is inserted into a lumen withinthe body of the patient. Atracking apparatus includes afield transducer positioned in the imaging apparatus anddefining a tracking volume within the imaging apparatus, andgenerates an indication of a location of the invasive probewithin the tracking volume responsively to an interactionbetween the field transducer and the invasive probe. Acontroller controls the movable bed in response to thelocation of the invasive probe indicated by the trackingapparatus.
