PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distal end of an endoscope which allows fluid jetted out from an air/water sending nozzle to highly efficiently clean a surface to be cleaned, such as an objective lens.
SOLUTION: This distal end 40 of the endoscope includes the objective lens 53 exposed from an outer tube 41 at the distal end 40, the air/water sending nozzle 55 projecting from the outer tube 41 at the distal end 40 and having a jetting hole 55a facing the surface 53a of the objective lens 53, and a groove 43 formed between the jetting hole 55a of the air/water sending nozzle 55 and the surface 53a of the objective lens 53 along the jetting direction.
