The cannabinoids delivered according to the invention penetrate the epidermis of the skin, and most cannabinoids can remain in that layer. Some cannabinoids penetrate further into the dermis and some cannabinoids can penetrate further into the subcutaneous layer, which is absorbed throughout the body.
