Use of an antibody encoded by VH4-34 that binds to the CDIM epitope, which is the epitope recognized by mAb 216, for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of a mammal suffering from a condition characterized by hyperproliferation of B cells , wherein said VH4 -34 antibody binds to the CDIM epitope on the surface of hyperproliferative B cells and wherein said VH4 -34 antibody is administered in an amount effective to preferentially kill hyperproliferative B cells, in relation to the normal B cells.Uso de un anticuerpo codificado por VH4-34 que se une al epítopo CDIM, que es el epítopo reconocido por el mAb 216, para la fabricación de un medicamento para el tratamiento de un mamífero que padece una afección caracterizada por una hiperproliferación de las células B, en el que dicho anticuerpo VH4 -34 se une al epítopo CDIM en la superficie de las células B hiperproliferativas y en el que dicho anticuerpo VH4 -34 es administrado en una cantidad eficaz para matar preferentemente a las células B hiperproliferativas, en relación con las células B normales.
