PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gauze count holder which is excellent in operability and is improved so as to effectively prevent count errors.SOLUTION: Gauze 5 is inserted to a notch 11 of a plate 10 and the plate 10 is engaged with a frame 20 in a sliding manner. Since the notch 21 of the frame 20 has an opening area smaller than the notch 11 of the plate 10, when the plate 10 is engaged with the frame 20, the overlap opening of both notches 11 and 12 becomes small, and the gauze 5 is clamped there. That is, since the opening area of a main opening 12 is relatively large with respect to the single body of the plate 10, the work of first installing the gauze 5 in the plate 10 becomes easy.
