PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter type endoscope capable of highly accurate assembly and having an inexpensive distal end adapter.
SOLUTION: The adapter type endoscope has the distal end adapter 10 detachably mounted at the distal end 3a of an insertion part 3. The distal end adapter 10 comprises an adapter body 11 in which an optical lens 15 and an adapter side electric connection part 14 are disposed, and an LED unit 13 integrally fixed with a fixing screw 7 and having an LED board 17, on which LEDs 20 are mounted and which is integrally fixed to a cylindrical body 16. The adapter body 11 has a female screw part 8 to be screwed with a male screw part 7b of the fixing screw 7, and a recess part 9a constituting a counterbore 9 in which a head part 7a of the fixing screw 7 is disposed. On the other hand, the cylindrical body 16 of the LED unit 13 has a through hole 9b constituting the counterbore 9 in which the head part 7a of the fixing screw 7 is disposed.
