A dispensing device for dispensing a liquid, such as a disinfectant liquid, contained in a liquid container, wherein the dispensing device comprises a housing, a receiving space present in the housing for receiving the liquid container, connecting means present in the housing for sealingly connecting a liquid container present therein to the dispensing device, such that the liquid contained in the liquid container can be drawn from the liquid container via a passage in an upper side (in use) of the liquid container, at least one pressure means present in the housing and connected to the connecting means, wherein the at least one pressure means is configured so that the connecting means are movable substantially in vertical direction relative to the housing in use, and wherein the connecting means are pressed substantially in downward direction against the liquid container by the at least one pressure means in use.
