PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new sporogenous Lactobacillus, a method for efficiently producing L-lactic acid with high optical purity, and foods and medicines containing the new sporogenous Lactobacillus.SOLUTION: It is possible to significantly increase the productivity of L-lactic acid with excellent optical purity by proliferating the new sporogenous Lactobacillus, Bacillus coagulans F6-2 strain, wherein the lactic acid is positively formed from sucrose, using a medium containing sucrose and yeast extract. There are also disclosed foods or medicines containing the new sporogenous Lactobacillus, Bacillus coagulans F6-2 strain.
