Various aspects of the present invention provide for a modifiedoligonucleotide for use ininhibition of growth hormone receptor expression and well as for compositionscomprising such modified oligonucleotide. The modified oligonucleotide is of atendeoxynucleotide region flanked on both the 5' and 3' end of said tendeoxynucleotideregion with five 2'-O-(2-methoxyethyl) nucleotides.
