PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument for medical care, where the configuration of a body is simplified while allowing easy linkage between the body and the instrument for medical care.SOLUTION: The instrument 106 for medical care is attached to/detached from one of a plurality of body side connectors 122. The instrument 106 for medical care includes: a medical care device 128 which is driven by receiving the supply of driving energy of an electric current, an air flow, a water flow, or the like a cassette 130 for receiving the supply of the driving energy from the body 104 and a tube 132 for transmitting the driving energy from the cassette 130 to the medical care device 128. The cassette 130 incorporates a driving control circuit 134 for identifying the body side connector to which the instrument 106 for medical care is connected, based on information obtained from an identification information source, and transmitting identification result information to a unit control circuit 144.
