The present invention relates to a capsule endoscope. The endoscope includes a housing, a lens module, at least one light source, an imaging sensor, a memory, at least one power source, a wireless transmittance module and a receiving body. The lens module includes a lens holder and at least one lens fixed on the lens holder. The housing and the lens module are made of biodegradable material. The receiving body is made of transparent, smooth and non-biodegradable material. The light source, the imaging sensor, the memory, the power source and the wireless transmittance module are received in the receiving body. The power source supplies electrical power to the light source, the imaging sensor, the memory and the wireless transmittance module. The memory stores image data from the imaging sensor. The wireless transmittance module is configured for sending out the image data in the memory.
