The invention discloses a medical assembly comprising an implant assembly, and an adaptor. The implant assembly includes a proximal portion and a distal portion. The adaptor can be configured to be coupled to the implant assembly at the distal portion of the implant assembly after at least a portion of the implant assembly extends through and out of the body. The adaptor further includes a proximal portion, a distal portion, and a lumen defined between the proximal and the distal portion. The adaptor further includes a locking mechanism for locking the adaptor to the distal portion of the implant assembly.
