The method includes: determining (S101) an environmental parameter of an environment where a flower pot is located; and recommending (S102) a plant variety matching with the environmental parameter to the flower pot. According to the technical solutions of the present disclosure, a user may cultivate a plant matching with the environmental parameter in a flower pot, such that the plant grows according to growth habits thereof. This prevents the user from frequently buying plants for the same flower pot, and thus reduces the user's economic cost in buying plants.
