Provided are methods of adoptive cell therapy involving the administration of a dose of cells for treating diseases and conditions, including certain B cell malignancies. The cells often express recombinant receptors such as chimeric antigen receptors (CARs). In some embodiments, the method is for treating a subject having non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). In some embodiments, the method is for treating a subject with recurrent or refractory NHL.
