PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract (especially a packed coffee beverage containing milk), which is prevented from occurrence of offensive smell and taste generated by long-term storage of the packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract (especially a packed coffee beverage containing milk) and which maintains a flavor even after long-term storage, and to provide a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: Provided are: a packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract which is prevented from occurrence of offensive smell and taste generated by long-term storage such as an odor of rancid milk, an acid taste, and an off-flavor by including 0.4 wt.% or more indigestible dextrin relative to a total amount of the beverage when producing a packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract and a method for producing the same. As mentioned above, the present invention provides a packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract, which is effectively prevented from occurrence of the offensive smell and taste and which maintains a flavor even after long-term storage, by simple means of including a specified amount of indigestible dextrin when producing the packed beverage containing milk and a plant extract.SELECTED DRAWING: None
