The objective of the present invention is to provide a method for inspecting an ophthalmic device, an inspection jig, and an ophthalmic device wherein a quality determination, of image capturing capability relating to whether a captured image accurately expresses the state of a capture subject, can be carried out with good reproducibility and without an excessive labor burden involved in adjustment of equipment when inspecting an ophthalmic device which captures images of a subject eye, such as a tear layer observation device. The method for inspecting an ophthalmic device according to the present invention: uses an image-capturing optical system of an ophthalmic device to receive reflected light from an imaging subject for inspection which has been illuminated by using an illumination optical system of the ophthalmic device; captures an image of the capture subject for inspection; extracts color information from an image of the captured imaging subject for inspection; compares the extracted color information with reference information; and determines whether the color information satisfies prescribed reference conditions. Furthermore, an inspection jig for the ophthalmic device according to the present invention is used in said inspection method.
