Method and System for reducing blurness in large focal spot X-ray Imaging Systems The invention relates to method and system for reducing blurness in large focal spot X-ray imaging systems. An X-ray imaging system is provided with an X-ray tube having a cathode and an anode. The cathode is adapted to release an electron stream focused towards a region of incidence on the anode, and wherein the anode is adapted to generate X-rays in response to the electron stream incident on the region of incidence. Further, the X- ray imaging system comprises an image sensor adapted to generate a pseudo blurred image based on the X-rays generated by the anode. Additionally, the X-ray imaging system includes a shift control unit adapted to shift the at least one region of incidence on the anode according to a predefined shift pattern. The shift control unit shifts the region of incidence by controlling the voltage supplied to one or more of, a field generation unit and a focusing cup. Further, the X-ray imaging system includes a post processing unit provided with a deconvoultion means adapted to generate a final X-ray image by performing deconvolution of the pseudo blurred image, based on the predefined shift pattern.
