The present invention relates to a functional sock and a manufacturing method thereof, wherein the method comprises: a first step of preparing a sock, turning the sock inside out and getting the sock to be worn and fixated at a jig a second step of inserting the jig, at which the sock is worn, into a mold whereas a portion of the sock is inserted into a pad forming recess of the mold, a liquefied material is injected for filling the pad forming recess and forming a pad with a predefined thickness on the sock a third step of curing the pad as set time has passed in a state of holding the sock in the mold at the second step to integrate the pad with the sock and a fourth step of separating the jig from the mold at the third step, demounting the sock from the jig and turning the sock inside out to obtain a complete product. The present invention: adds a cushion function to the sock such that a foot sole is able to be protected does not expose an elevating unit to the outside even though a user takes off a shoe while being able to add an elevating function such that privacy is able to be protected is able to prevent falling accidents of children within a room and is able to reduce partially noises generated during walking or running.본 발명은 기능성 양말 및 이의 제조방법에 관한 것으로, 양말을 준비하고, 준비된 양말을 뒤집은 후 지그에 착용하여 고정시키는 1단계 양말이 착용된 지그를 금형에 장입하되, 금형의 패드형성홈에 양말의 일부분이 삽입되도록 한 후 액상소재를 주입하여 상기 패드형성홈에 충전시켜 소정두께를 갖는 패드가 양말에 형성되도록 하는 2단계 2단계의 금형에 양말이 수용된 상태로 일정시간 경과되도록 하여 패드가 경화되면서 양말에 일체가 되도록 하는 3단계 3단계의 금형으로부터 지그를 분리한 후 양말을 지그로부터 탈거한 한 다음 양말을 뒤집어 완성품을 수득하는 4단계를 포함하여 구성된다.이에 따르면, 양말에 쿠션기능을 부가함으로써 발바닥을 보호할 수 있고, 키높이 기능도 부가될 수 있으면서 신발을 벗어도 키높이수단이 외부에 노출되지 않아 프라이버시를 보호받을 수 있도록 하며, 아이들의 실내 낙상사고를 미연에 방지할 수 있고, 걷거나 뛰는 과정에서 발생될 소음을 일정부분 감소시켜줄 수 있는 효과가 있다.
