The present invention provides a new variety of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, dasan with improved antioxidative activity, and a breeding method thereof, wherein the new variety of Salvia miltiorrhiza Bunge, dasan according to the present invention can contribute to farm income because the yield can be increased in a domestic environment because the yield is higher than yield of native species cultivated in domestic markets, and contains a significantly higher level of antioxidative components than the native species to have excellent quality as a variety with improved antioxidative activity.본 발명은 항산화 활성이 증진된 단삼(Salvia miltiorrhizaBunge)의 신품종 다산 및 이의 육종 방법을 제공하는 것으로, 본 발명의 단삼 신품종 다산은 종래 국내에서 재배되고 있는 재래종보다 수량성이 증가하여 국내 환경에서 재배수율이 증가할 수 있으므로 농가 소득에 기여할 수 있고, 재래종보다 유의적으로 높은 수준의 항산화 성분을 포함하고 있어, 항산화 활성이 증진된 품종으로서 우수한 품질을 제공할 수 있다.
