An orthodontic bracket apparatus and method for treating a malocclusion includes a bracket base having an angulated posterior facing surface and which is matingly and releasably positioned adjacent to an anterior facing surface of a patient's tooth； a multiplicity of bracket bodies releasably and adjustably engageable with the bracket base； and an arch wire simultaneously engageable within an arch wire slot defined in each of the bracket bodies to exert first, second and third order movements to the maloccluded tooth； and wherein the bracket base remains affixed to the patient's tooth throughout the multiple step orthodontic treatment regimen selected by the treating clinician.La présente invention concerne un appareil de bracket orthodontique et une méthode de traitement d'une malocclusion, comprenant une base de bracket ayant une surface de face postérieure inclinée et accouplée de manière amovible à une surface de face antérieure de la dent d'un patient de manière à être adjacente à cette dernière ； une pluralité de corps de bracket pouvant venir en prise amovible et réglable avec la base de bracket ； et un arc dentaire pouvant s'insérer simultanément dans une fente d'arc dentaire ménagée dans chacun des corps de bracket pour exercer des mouvements de premier, deuxième et troisième ordre sur la dent maloccluée. La base de bracket reste fixée à la dent du patient tout au long du schéma de traitement orthodontique à étapes multiples choisi par le clinicien traitant.
