PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption during standby in a liquid transport device whose operation is controlled by the communication using a controller.SOLUTION: A liquid transport device includes: a liquid storage part for storing a liquid a drive part for transporting the liquid a body part that supports the drive part and is connected to the liquid storage part when the liquid is transported a body control part which is a body control part for controlling the operation of the drive part, and determines that the body part and the liquid storage part are connected and an external control part that communicates with the body control part and gives an instruction to control the operation of the drive part.
