PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a neat recessed groove by easily shaping the recessed groove, and to improve diffusivity of a body fluid without worsening wearing feeling.SOLUTION: In an absorbent article, an absorber 4 in which a recessed groove-shaped or a slit-shaped, absorber recessed part 20 is formed in a longitudinal direction on a side of a skin contact surface including a body fluid discharging region H without compression is interposed between a liquid permeable surface sheet 3 and a back surface sheet 2, and an embossment part 21 is provided inside the absorber recessed part 20 along the absorber recessed part 20 by embossment from a surface side of the liquid permeable surface sheet 3.
