PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat whose leg press member is simply remodeled and which can thereby avoid the fixed state of a movable hood and can ensure a good holding state even when the thickness of a tip leg portion is different.SOLUTION: A butt side leg portion 10a bent from a reel leg to the rod butt side and extended and loaded on the butt side loading surface 2B of a seat base is held with a leg press member 8 disposed in the movable hood D. A leg-inserting space 8a for inserting and holding the butt side leg portion 10a into the leg press member 8 is formed in a dent shape. A deep side vertical wall 8f is formed between an one end close to a butt side loading surface 2B and the other end connected to an instep side contact wall 8d contacted with the instep portion of the butt side leg portion 10a.
