A laryngeal mask comprising a housing (12), the housing comprising a neck part (14) and a head part (16) extending from a first end of the neck part. The head part further comprises a sealing face (18) and an opposing face (20)； the sealing face and the opposing face being connected by an enclosing wall (22) extending upwardly from the sealing face. The sealing face comprises a peripheral seal (24) for forming a seal around a larynx and has an opening arranged to be positioned over a laryngeal opening. An airway tube (28) is positioned within the housing and extends from a second end of the neck part to the opening in the peripheral seal. The head part comprises a resiliently deformable portion (30), the resiliently deformable portion being a preferentially deformable portion of the head part. La partie au niveau de la tête comprend en outre une face d'étanchéité (18) et une face opposée (20) ； la face d'étanchéité et la face opposée étant reliées par une paroi d'enceinte (22) s'étendant vers le haut depuis de la face d'étanchéité. La face d'étanchéité comprend un joint périphérique (24) permettant de former un joint autour d'un larynx et présente une ouverture agencée pour être positionnée sur une ouverture laryngée. Un tube pour voies respiratoires (28) est positionné à l'intérieur du boîtier et s'étend à partir d'une seconde extrémité de la partie au niveau du cou jusqu'à l'ouverture dans le joint périphérique. La partie au niveau de la tête comprend une portion élastiquement déformable (30), la portion élastiquement déformable étant une portion préférentiellement déformable de la partie au niveau de la tête. La face opposée comprend une saillie (40).
