Provided herein are systems for treating subjects with lung infections, such as non-tuberculous mycobacterial lung infections, Burkholderia lung infections, bronchiectasis related lung infections or Pseudomonas lung infections. The system comprises a pharmaceutical formulation comprising a liposome aminoglycoside dispersion, and a lipid component of the liposome consisting essentially of an electrically neutral lipid. The system also includes an atomizer that generates an aerosol of the pharmaceutical formulation at a rate greater than about 0.53 g per minute.
