An infusion adapter for connection with an infusion fluid container includes aconnection portion configured toengage an injection port of an infusion fluid container, and a port configuredto connect to an intravenous line, with the port in fluidcommunication with the connection portion. The connection portion includes aretaining ring extending radially outward from theconnection portion, with the retaining ring configured to securely connect theinfusion adapter to the infusion fluid container tosubstantially prevent disconnection of the infusion adapter from the infusionfluid container once the infusion adapter is connected tothe infusion fluid container. The retaining ring includes an indicatorconfigured to provide visualization of insertion of theconnection portion into an injection port of an infusion fluid container.
