The remote control-type automated external defibrillator comprises: an automated external defibrillator storage apparatus which comprises a communication unit to receive measurement information including the biosignal of the human body and an infrared transmitting and receiving unit, generates a wake-up signal in the case of receiving the measurement information, transmitting the wake-up signal through the infrared transmitting and receiving unit, generates a control signal to control at least one function among an alarming function and an information providing function, and transmits the control signal through the infrared transmitting and receiving unit； and an automated external defibrillator body which is stored to be detachable in the automated external defibrillator storage apparatus, changes from a sleep mode to a standby mode in the case of receiving the wake-up signal when stored in the automated external defibrillator storage apparatus, receives the control signal, and performs the relevant function. Accordingly, an automated external defibrillator (AED) is allowed to operate in a sleep mode when the AED is in a storage state, and the mode of the AED is allowed to automatically change into a standby mode when an emergency occurs.
