Provided is a microneedle array that is easily applied to the oral cavity and can exhibit an anesthetic effect suited to the application site. Provided are: a fast-acting dental local anesthetic preparation which comprises a microneedle array containing a local anesthetic and has needle parts that dissolve within the mucosa when adhered to the oral mucosa or the gingiva； a microneedle array； and a microneedle patch comprising the microneedle array and a support body provided on the back face of the microneedle array. The microneedle array has microneedles, each having a height of 50 to 300 µm and a tip that is a circle with a diameter of 1 to 50 µm or a plane with the same area as the circle, and a backing with a thickness of 5 to 100 µm.
